Thanks for registering for our JUG. We do some things to thwart hackers and malevolent users. First, there are certain countries whose URLs are strictly taboo. Registrations using an email address from any country other than the USA will be denied. Registrants who use the same name for first and last name and username will be denied. Any registration without a valid zipcode or a Joomla-related Interest entry will be denied. Finally, if the registration still seems suspicious, someone may contact the registrant directly and inquire as to what interest joining this JUG is to them. Denied registrations will remain in a blocked state indefinitely. These methods seem to be doing a good job at keeping illegitimate users off the site. If you are offended by these countermeasures, tough.
